After having spent a few dedicated weeks in the state of California testing on the most prestigious equipment in the sport of Motocross, Pro Circuit rider Adam Cianciarulo will be rolling up to the gates at Whitney sooner than you may think. With only 19 days left until the kick off of the extensive and stressful two week get up of Amateur Nationals that await us in Texas, only time will tell who will rise to the occasion and come out a Championship winner.
1. Hey Adam, tell us where you've been the past couple weeks?
I've done a few races in Florida trying to get back in race mode. I hadn't raced since LL's. I spend Tues.- Thurs. at Izzi's track training, then home or at a race for the weekends. I've also been training with Ronnie Tichneor when I can.
2. For testing, training and riding do you like California or Florida better?
I like them both a lot. They are really different, so being able to ride both is definitely helpful.
3. How have the new Kawisaki's been working out for ya?
My bikes are great. They're the same as the 08's. I just started riding a Super Mini this week and I love it!
4. Any huge differences in your all Pro Circuit bikes from you bikes you raced last year?
My 08 bikes were really good, but I love the power of my PC bikes and the way they corner.
5. What's the deal with the mini bike ban and do you know if this ban affects you heading into Whitney, as well as the remainder of the year?
My parents said the band won't affect me because I am on 85's.
6. How do you feel you've matured as a rider? You're growing up and filling into your bikes nicely, how do you feel headed into this season...
I feel confident and strong. I am really looking forward to racing all the fast guys. It's fun being the young guy in the class.
7. Can we expect to see you at the Texas warm ups?
I won't be at the warm up races this year. We are doing an area qualifier for LL's in Florida, then heading out to Texas.
8. What's the most important thing on your mind for 09?
Winning!
9. You name is always up on the list of guys to beat, have you mastered the art of dealing with pressure and performing your best when the most is expected of you?
I'm not sure I've mastered it, but I don't mind the pressure. Most of the pressure I feel, I put on myself. I want to be the best!
10. What is the best/ most fun part about racing!?
Definitely Winning!
11. If you didn't race Motocross what's the one other sport would you what to make a career out of?
Racing cars!
Everyone at Vurb wishes you the best of luck come March!
Thank you very much.
