Bryce Vallee has been flying under the radar for the past year and is now coming into focus. Bryce has been trying to live his dream since he strapped on his first set of goggles and it looks like it is finally becoming reality. He has been on the gas out in Cali for the past few months and is looking to open some eyes in Texas. We are honored to Introduce to you…Bryce Vallee

IMG_0053Bryce, tell our readers a little about yourself.

My name is Bryce Vallee. I live in Escondido, CA and I am 18 years old. I race in the B, college boy, and open classes. I like to train off of the bike and in my free time I love to surf and hang with the friends. I have an awesome family who supports me and I am a very determined person.

How about riding, how did this all start for you?

It started all when I was about 11 and I got my first bike for Christmas. It was an xr80 and ever since then I have been hooked.

You grew up surfing, do you go out much anymore?

I do when I have the time to, but not as much as I used to now that I’m racing all of the time.IMG_0068

You ride and train with T-Bake (Travis Baker) how did that start and tell us how that has helped you?

I met T-Bake at the track and since then we have been really great friends. He has helped me a lot with my riding because he always pushes me to take it to the next level. We also train together off of the bike with Charles Dao of Icon Sports Performance. This helps out tremendously because we are both so competitive that we always push each other.

A lot of guys train with Charles, what is it like training with a guy like that?

It is great but very tough at the same time; he does not mess around, it’s always intense. I have gained a lot from him and I think that there is a lot more to receive in the future.

Tell us how 2008 went for you.IMG_0020

It was a good learning year being that it was my first year going to most of the nationals. I might not have gotten the results that I wanted but I took a lot from it and I am ready for 2009.

What was your first Loretta Lynn experience like?

It was very cool, being that I made it there. The week started great but slowly went downhill with some bad luck, but mainly mental issues and not being mentally prepared. It’s a very overwhelming experience, but I came away with more knowledge to prepare me for this season.

What is your main focus for 2009?

I would like to win as many titles in the B class as I can.

You are pretty much a dark horse this year in the B class. What are your plans to get some good results and open some eyes on the national level? IMG_0163

I just want to stick to my training and go out and do what I know that I am capable of doing.

The B class is stacked with talent, where do you think you fall in that stack of talent?

There is a ton of great riders who are very talented but I believe that if get all my hard work done and prepare properly that there is no reason why I can’t run up front.

You raced with some of those top dogs this weekend at the California Gold Cup at Glen Helen, how did that go and who was all there?

It went very well; Eli Tomac, Max Anstie, Nick Paluzzi, Aaron Siminoe and Bryce Stewart were all there. I won 3 out of the four classes that I entered. It was cool, I had a lot of fun.

Wow, that is like being at a national. That has to give you a lot of confidence going into Texas.IMG_0031

It definitely helps, but I would never under estimate any of my competition. Like I said before there are so many great riders that I have so much respect for.

How does it feel coming into Texas flying under the radar?

I am pretty much use to it, it has been that way since I started.

What do you look to get out of the Spring Nationals in Texas?

I would like to win titles and know that my hard work is paying off.

What are your plans until the road-trip to Texas

To put my head down, train relentlessly, and prepare myself because I want this to be my career and that takes hard work and dedication.
