Well, it’s finally here, and despite threats of rain the sun continues to shine here in Georgia for the 2nd Annual Motosport Vurb Pro Am Classic Presented by Tag Metals, 661 and Smith Optics. Long name, we know, but we have to give a shout out to our sponsors, for without them none of this would be possible.

As for the track, a huge shout out to the entire Kelly family, especially Kyle Kelly and his crew of track workers. They rebuilt the track for the event and everyone is amped about the new layout. The pits are continuing to fill and we expect even more riders throughout the day as racers try and make their way from the flooded pits of Branson.

The Hired Guns are here in force, but after watching some of the super fast local talent tear it up in Thursday’s night practice, we won’t be a bit surprised to see some of the Golden Ticket boys fall victim to the locals.

Speaking of the Hired Guns, Grant Randsdell, Zach Freeberg, Van Martin, Cooper Webb, Donny Brown, AJ Catanzaro, Jase Lewis, Max Tannenbaum, Auston Albers, Serritia Gonzalez, Nick Myers and a ton more hit the track this morning for a full day of practice. Lap times were low and we expect some epic racing to ensue tomorrow.

Thanks to our sponsors we also have a ton of swag to giveaway over the weekend.

- Smith Optics will be giving away sponsorship for 2010 to the winner of the 65cc 7-9 Mod class as well as the winner of the Vet class on Saturday.

- Skull Candy is providing 20 sets of headphones that will be given out over the weekend.

- MXPrints.com will give away two sets of custom printed gear to the winners of the 85cc 7-11 Stock class and the 250 Novice class.

- Last but not least Epic Helmet Cam sent over 10 sets of helmet cams for the event. Vurb will be using them for helmet cam updates throughout the weekend and will be giving away various sets to surprise class winners.

That’s all for now. Time to go pick up trash, re-hang banners and do whatever else track workers like ourselves do in a day. We’re new to the whole race promoting game and are learning really quick that it’s no easy task.

See below for some imagery from Ryne Swanberg (who, by the way just drove in with Dragon Race Fuels from Branson) and be sure and check back in throughout the weekend for more video and photo updates.
