On arrival, the first thing we noticed was that all the reports of the track turning into a mudbowl seem completely off-base. As it stands the track looks in supreme condition and having just finished speaking with Ashley Fiolek, we can confirm that it's also riding superbly.

The layout looks unchanged, which is no bad thing as it has produced some excellent racing in the years past. They have also added a couple new light-stands which hopefully will minimize the dark spots that some of the riders complained about in the first ever Night-Race National last year. We really can't wait until the gate drops tomorrow afternoon as it is an excellent venue for motocross and with it being at night, it adds a little something special to the mix. Not to mention all the unanwered questions still lingering: Will Alessi be fit? Can Dungey get his own 1-1? Can hometown hero Andrew Short get his first ever victory? Will Barcia get back into the mix of things now that his hands have had time to heal? Expect these questions and many more to be answered tomorrow evening as racing isn't set to wrap up until after 10:30pm.

These pictures were taken pre-storm

EDIT: As the saying goes in Denver: "If you don't like the weather, just wait a minute, it'll change." Well, we now fully believe it as we've just experienced a massive storm fully equipt with Tornado warnings. Thunder, lightning and some torrential rain have hit the track so we will see how the crew are able to deal with this quantity of water. Hopefully, if the sun stays out (like it is right now) then the track should be fine for tomorrow's racing.
