Throughout his career, the #44 of Christian Craig has worked his way to the top of the Amateur ranks, racking up a handful of championships so far this year. As Loretta Lynn's draws near, this also means a new class of rookies will soon grace the Pro line up. As for the next few months, we expect to hear a lot of talk about who's going where and who's signing who. Craig is one prospect who is ready to take his riding to the next level, and although he isn’t sure when that will be, he definitely knows what team he is going to be a part of, Team J-Law.  To give you the latest, we caught up with Christian to clear up the rumors, ask how he feels about landing a pro deal with Jason Lawerence!

There have been some whispers that you have signed a pro deal?  Is that true?
I haven’t signed anything yet, but I have been going to the track everyday and they have been working on my bike and we have been making plans.  I haven’t signed anything yet but the contract is on the way and I’m pretty sure that I’m on their team.

So you'll be riding for Jason?
Probably his team, yes.

What does that do to your plans concerning the rest of the year?
I am going to qualify for Loretta’s.  My manager said that if I’m 100% ready then they will put me in the next outdoor national whenever that is...If not, then I will do Loretta’s and Unadilla
right after that.

After working so hard this must be a huge relief for you.  Can you tell us how things came about and how you feel about the situation?
Yeah it’s good. I’ve known Lawrence’s manger for a while and they have been watching me at the amateur nationals and I told them I ready and to get the contract ready. Hopefully everything works out and I'll be signed with the team.

How do you feel about being a member of the J-Law team?  Has the deal been in the works for a while?
Yeah it’s been in the works for a while.  I rode one of their test bikes and I like it a lot, it’s really fast actually.  I think the team is really good and they have good mechanics. I can't complain.
