We used to include Chase in the contributor section just to make him feel good about himself. He didn’t really do too much at the time, but the kid loved motocross so much that we were worried he might do something drastic if we didn’t at least include his name. Sure he had composed a blog or two, but he had yet to really get into the blood and guts of Vurb. The last minute deadlines, all night drives and peanut butter and jelly diets. However, he’s actually stepped his game up a bit as of late. He came to Loretta’s and helped out for a few days this year and has been piecing together a track list for us over the last few months that will be implemented in the very near future. And he’s done it all for the small payment of free gear (which we have yet to give him).
He is a recent graduate of the
nearly his entire life, he didn’t start riding until last December. So while his goon status is warranted, he is still quite goony. He’s actually gotten a little bit better over the last few weeks and we can’t wait to line him up for his first D class race over the winter. Don’t worry, there will be video footage. His real skills lie in MX vs ATV Unleashed (he’s freakishly good at this game), golf and being extremely moody.
If Chase is still interested in helping out after he wraps up work on our track guide, then we’ve actually got some plans for him. He’s a fairly accomplished writer that we think could do some good for the site. So expect to see a lot more of his work throughout 2009.
