The second we left the house we drove to Albuquerque and we spent the night right by the airport. We got up about 4:00 in the morning. We left at 6:15 it was my first time flying in an airplane. It was so cool. From Albq to Phoenix it was an about 1 hour, from Phoenix to Phili it was about 5 hours, from phili to Zurich it was about 9 hours. This flight was in the middle of the night so I slept most of the day When we got to Zurich our plane to Luxembourg was cancelled. So when we got to Zurich that is when no one could under stand me. They got us on a flight to Frankfurt and then on to Luxembourg, so a 19 hour trip turned into about a 25 hour trip boy was I tired. Yeah we finally made it to Luxembourg around 5:00 pm, then we went to get our rental car which was suppose to be a full size van and we ended up with a mini van and let me tell you my mom was mad. She argued (well tried to argue) with the lady but she didn’t understand. So we had to fit 7 of us in this little van and our entire luggage. I was buried in the back under the luggage. I was so tired that I fell asleep. We finally found our motel and I was starving. This is were we had our next problem, I couldn’t read the menu. So we all ordered hamburgers and they were nasty! I asked for cheese and they said no cheese, I got my hamburger and there was no bun, I asked for ice tea and it came in it was nasty; I learned real fast to ask for drinks with no GAS!!!!
Next day we got up and drove around town. We went to find the motorcycle shop where my suspension was shipped, my dad was really nervous about it being there, but it was there. Then we left there and thought we could go find the track well that took us about 3 hours. My mom rented and GPS, and my dad and Brucey named it Kelsey he kept telling my mom be quite I have one lady already telling me how to drive I don’t need two women telling me what to do. So when we found the track it was kind of weird because the whole track was grass except for the jumps. So I thought to myself when this track gets tealed up it was going to be really sandy. So the next day we met up with all the USA team. The 50’s left to the track to get bikes. It took my dad and Brucey about 2 hours to get my bikes ready. When we pulled up to the Cobra tent and I saw my bikes I was happy because my 65 had red rims and all the red white and blue graphics looked really cool on my bike. So we left to go riding and test the bikes out I met a kid named Christopher from England and he road to the track with us, well we stopped to get gas and we got left behind and had no idea where the track was so Christopher kept asking every one “DO YOU SPEAK ENGLISH” everyone just ignored him. So after about 20 mins they came back to find us. Christopher also told me a story about going to a friends birthday and driving down the rode and he saw a little lady walking with a walking stick and rolled the window down and said “ Hey Sexy” at the stop sign the little old man with her told don’t you ever say that again young man. Later he told me if you roll down the window I will show you the proper way to say it. We all just laughed at him, and then he called my sister Morgan “Hey little piglet. He was a funny kid. I met a friend for life. So when we got to the track it was open practice. I rode really well. It was like a dry track just like home.
Now it was practice time. I did really good in practice on both of my bikes. I felt really good about my riding and so did my dad. Then we started racing. My first moto I won on my fifty, on the 65 I got 3rd. The track got really rough and they don’t do any thing to the track. The start was up hill and the gates were old school. The second motos I took a first on my 50 and a first on my 65. I was really excited because that was the first time I had won on my 65. My day was over and there was suppose to be a parade but I didn’t do it because my mom took me to the room so I could get some rest. The next day when I woke up it was raining. I thought to myself that it was probably going to be a mud race. When we got to the track the track was perfect. I came out 5th off the gate and past up to 1st right away. I thought to my self ride smart to win this race. I knew Tristan Lewis was behind me so I really had concentrate going through the lappers. My motos where back to back so Brucey had my 65 ready to go on the line I jumped off my 50 and jumped right onto my 65 and raced that moto. I was passing for 3rd and came off a breaking bump wrong. I crashed and was stuck under my bike. I was riding really aggressive. After I got back to the pits there were kids every where wanting my autograph, I had to go hide cause I didn’t know what to do. So I started signing little American flags and they all loved it. Winning was an honor because it made me really proud of myself. I want to thank all my sponsor for helping me get there. Rodney at Fly Racing, Jarred at factory Backing, Cobra, PR2, and all the businesses, friends and family that donated money to help me get there.
